This is a personal project I made. My interest in hyper realistic VFX pushed me to try something new: create a 3D object and put it in a picture as if it were part of it. So I did the whole pipeline: from the 3D modeling in Maya to shading in Houdini, Mari, and Adobe Photoshop and even lighting it.
Here’s the result:
This was modeled in Maya, shaded in Houdini. I used Mari and Photoshop to create the patterns of the scars.
